Can I be notified when water levels at a station exceeds or fall below a threshold?
Yes.
USGS WaterAlert has the ability to send you text messages or emails when water levels and other parameters at a USGS monitoring station exceed or fall below a threshold that you set. You can set alerts so they can be sent hourly or daily. See the USGS WaterAlert web site for more details.
You can additionally subscribe to automated alert system for a specific site number at the following example web page; for site 04218518. Just change the site number in the URL for site that you are interested in.
If you would like to receive alerts for all parameters available, just visit the page again and select another parameter.
